In January of 1944, Colonel Hobby traveled to Egypt with Major General Barney M. Giles, Major R.G. Finch, Captain R.S. Krause, 1st Lt. D. Milburn, 1st Lt. R.M. Oakes, 2nd Lt. E.W. Langworthy, Staff Sergeant C.H. Witt, Staff Sergeant L.D. Peterson, Staff Sergeant W.H. McClain, Staff Sergeant W.C. Hancock, Lt. Colonel Betty Bandel and Major W.H. Burgoyne.
